Version
Control
With Stat, all versions of your PeopleSoft objects
(including non-application designer objects) and flat files (including COBOL,
SQR, SQL, nVision, Crystal, SQL scripts, etc.,) are versioned and stored
indefinitely in the Stat repository. This allows development to proceed without
the risk of overwrites or lost changes. Objects and flat files can be versioned
together in the same work packet called a Stat Work Archiving Tool (SWAT) set or
in separate SWAT sets, depending on your business processes. Before development
begins, Stat automatically takes a “snapshot” or baseline SWAT set. During
development, additional snapshots (containing some or all of the objects/files)
can be taken as needed. At any time, deleted or modified objects/files can be
easily recovered or “rolled-back” to a prior version without performing a
database restore. Using the Stat Recovery Wizard, objects/files can be moved,
individually or in groups, from Stat to any PeopleSoft database or file
directory. Recovery is even possible if the object/file no longer exists in
your PeopleSoft environment.

Plus Output Manager installed on your Windows or UNIX systems, your IT

Administrators have the detailed information they need to track job status and

invoice, with the correct data stream (XML or text) to its final destination.
Vista Plus Output Manager can also provide additional processing before and/or
after the forms processing. Output is then delivered to a printer or to a Vista
Plus warehouse for archiving and on-line viewing.
Automated Batch Scheduling and
Calendars
Vista Plus Output Manager enables your organizations to schedule batch jobs and reports to
provide better control of your output processes within your environment. The
batch scheduler supports fixed- and variable-interval scheduling that can be
based on standard calendar days and/or dates as well as customized business
calendars. Scheduling can be enhanced with rules to determine an action when a
scheduled activity falls on a holiday or other non-working days.
Complete Information Delivery
Infrastructure
As
organizations strive to further eliminate the costs associated with printing,
many are turning to electronic report distribution. The remaining component of
the Vista Plus Suite, Vista Plus, provides a report and document warehouse to
further streamline operations. Quest’s full information delivery suite manages
physical print, on-line reports and electronic documents. The Vista Plus
repository appears as another destination device in the Vista Plus Output
Manager environment. Vista Plus device probing can also be set to determine the
availability of the Vista Plus Server and the amount of storage space
available. The output generated from your applications can be directed into the
Vista Plus repository for archiving, allowing a broad audience of users to
securely access, view, mine, and selectively print from the report repository,
using either a Windows or Web client.
