Description
SingleStore (formerly MemSQL) is a distributed, relational SQL database built for data-intensive applications that demand both fast transactions and real-time analytics. Its scale-out architecture spreads data across aggregator and leaf nodes, supports rowstore and columnstore tables, and ingests streaming data through native pipelines.
Foglight for SingleStore runs a suite of per-collection SQL collectors against the cluster and presents the results through eleven purpose-built dashboards.
Business Challenge
A distributed SQL engine has many moving parts: aggregator and leaf nodes, partitioned databases, ingest pipelines, resource pools, plan cache, and replication. When latency rises, the cause could be a blocked query, an overloaded resource pool, a stalled pipeline, or an unbalanced node - and finding it quickly requires all of those views in one console.
Foglight for SingleStore is cluster-keyed, so the SingleStoreCluster - not an individual node - is the top-level object. Every node, database, query, and pipeline rolls up into a single health surface, with the breadth of dashboards needed to go from symptom to root cause.

Eleven dashboards provide cluster-to-query depth: Overview, Cluster, Nodes, Databases, Active Queries, Plan Cache, Blocked Queries, Configuration, Pipelines, Resource Pools, and Replication. Each collection is implemented as a dedicated SQL collector, keeping the agent maintainable and the data faithful to SingleStore's own system views.
The cartridge ships with a comprehensive ruleset and a full JUnit test suite, and runs as a native Foglight process on the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) with the Rules Engine alerting on performance and availability issues.
